- All entries must be made using private equipment by amateur brewers (i.e., no use of commercial facilities or brew on-premises operations etc.).
- Fix one entry label per clean bottle with a rubber band only – no tape. No names required.
Vessels containing beer should be at least 370ml volume in glass, PET plastic or can. Two bottles are required for eligibility in the best of show prize. - The fee of $8.00 per entry must be paid prior to the entry cutoff date.
- All entries will be picked up from drop-off locations the day of the drop-off deadline.
- Beer judging guidelines can be found by downloading the app here or from this link with the exception of the ginger beer category which is available at ntbrewers.org
- The competition organisers are not responsible for incorrectly categorised entries, mailed entries that are not received by the entry deadline or that arrived damaged, or for the loss or damage to any entry, entry form, or fee.
- Entrants are bound by the competition rules. The judges’ and Competition Director’s decision is final and no dispute will be entered into.
- Judges will evaluate and score each entry. The average of the scores will rank each entry in its category.
The competition committee reserves the right to combine overall style categories based on number of entries. All possible effort will be made to combine similar styles. All brews in combined categories will be judged according to the style they were originally entered in. - Entries may be eligible for submission to the Australian Amateur Brewing Championship (AABC), successful entrants will be notified following judging. The ginger beer style is NT only and winning this category does not provide eligibility to AABC.
